Abstract

The COST-ED Model is a computerized mathematical simulation of how educational decisions and patterns of school operations affect costs. The various reports prepared from information programmed into the Model can aid the administrator in making sophisticated economic analyses of his programs and can show relationships among facilities, schedules, staff allocation, materials, and costs. Such analyses can also provide the negotiator with an objective, quantified picture of the economic implications of alternate contract proposals and rational arguments for the adoption of one or another alternative.
