Abstract
This article reviews the development of de facto collective bargaining in the State of Louisiana where no protective legislation exists. The judicial history of the de facto bargaining in Louisiana is instructive concerning the role of protective legislation in fostering peaceful labor-management relations and providing employees with a vehicle for effective input into their terms and conditions of employment. This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works 3.0 United States License.
