Abstract
This article examines the Consumer Price Index information presently available through the U.S. Department of Labor and the American Chamber of Commerce Research Association. The use of the cost-of-living standard in negotiations has suffered because of a lack of understanding of the available information concerning the cost of living. The purpose of this article is to provide some guidance in how to get the most benefit from the use of available information. This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works 3.0 United States License.
