Abstract
This paper describes the preferences among various impasse resolution techniques reported by persons negotiating for 370 local fire fighter units (IAFF) and the persons bargaining for the municipalities involved. The union negotiators preferred compulsory arbitration to any other alternative, while municipal negotiators ranked mediation, fact finding, and voluntary arbitration about equally. This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works 3.0 United States License.
