Abstract
This study examined the relationship between legal representation and case outcome in nondiscipline/discharge arbitration cases. Logit estimation of 864 nondiscipline/discharge cases suggested the probability of receiving a favorable award was significantly greater if one party was represented by a lawyer at the arbitration hearing and the other side did not rely on legal counsel. This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works 3.0 United States License.
