Comment: E-Mail in the Workplace: Defining the Boundaries of Employee Privacy

Abstract
Along with other high technology issues, e-mail privacy in the workplace has become a growing concern in recent years. E-mail monitoring has been compared to telephone monitoring and U.S. mail, as well as locker and desk searches. The basic consensus is that as long as employers make it clear they will be monitoring e-mail, the employee will not be able to seek redress.
