Abstract
This study investigates the effects of age, gender, marital status, race, and seniority on the likelihood of an employee being disciplined. It views differences in discipline rates as a function of the frequency of rule-violating behavior and the extent to which those who violate rules are disciplined. The results of logistic regression indicate that young, male, single, and nonwhite employees are more likely to be disciplined. This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works 3.0 United States License.
