Abstract

Stroke is an important area for health professionals. From a treatment point of view, it is one of the few areas that can be described as truly multidisciplinary. One patient suffering or recovering from a stroke may require the services of hospital doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, GPs, dieticians, pharmacists, speech and language therapists and many others.
