Trapezius Biofeedback Training for Tension Headaches
Arch Fam Med. 1999;8:486.
In a group of patients with classic tension headaches starting at the occipital, suboccipital, or back of the neck region and feeling like external pressure on the head, all of those trained through biofeedback to relax the trapezius muscles got at least 50% relief of their headaches. The comparison groups, trained in general relaxation or frontal relaxation only received that much relief to of the time. (Headache. 1995;35:411-419.)
