Patient Satisfaction With General Practitioner Care After Breast Cancer Higher Than Specialist-Care Hospital Setting
Arch Fam Med. 2000;9:821.
In Ottowa, 296 women were randomly assigned to follow-up of their breast cancer by their own general practitioner or by a hospital outpatient specialty clinic. During and at the end of the trial, statisically significant differences were seen in 9 of 12 patient satisfaction questions, favoring general practice follow-up. The hospital outpatient specialty clinics had greater satisfaction for only 1 item about service delivery. (Br J Gen Pract. 1999;49:705-710.)
