I read this book because I felt as though I could use a refresher course on laceration repairs. The book does have much to offer on laceration repairs and some on lesion removal. There are descriptions of both the simple repair and the complex repair, including some techniques that I am unlikely to use personally (such as partial removal of the lips to correct certain traumatic injuries and small skin grafts). I found it helpful to understand some aspects of the plastic surgeon's treatment for certain injuries, even though I would be likely to refer those patients.

Strengths include the basic review of materials needed and available, the description of how to perform anesthesia, the chapter on the treatment of significant abrasions, the fairly detailed description of how to perform various repairs, and lots of good pictures.
