						<Abstract Language="En">This article examines the effects of technical communications on successful contract negotiations between school districts and their unions in Kansas. Technical communications in collective bargaining are defined to be formal negotiations sessions or meetings of sub-committees whose purpose is to discuss specific contract or procedural issues. The results demonstrate that both the frequency and the duration of communications are associated with the successful resolution of contract negotiations. About sixteen percent of the variations in the success of negotiations were explained by the frequency and duration of communications which confirms the significance of communications in negotiations.</Abstract>
