ARBITRAL STADNARDS IN PUBLIC SECTOR AND PRIVATE SECTOR SUBSTANCE ABUSE DISCHARGE CASES: A COMPARISON

Abstract
This study compares and contrasts arbitral decision making in public-sector substance-abuse discharge cases with that in private-sector cases. Data were collected from case reports published by BNA during the period 1985 to 1993. Statistical analysis of the data suggests that arbitrators use uniform standards of evidence of decide the outcome of these cases.
