WAGAR AND ABIDA RAHMAN Relatively few studies have investigated high school student attitudes toward unions. The present study builds on past research by examining factors associated with union joining and voting intention of senior students in four Canadian high schools. Students, on average, had moderately favorable attitudes toward unions. Slightly more than half of the students indicated they would consider joining a union and voting for union representation if the opportunity arose. In addition, union joining and voting intention were significantly related to the union status of the student's father, pro-union opinions expressed at home, and the student's overall attitude toward unions.
