						<Abstract Language="En">This study analyzed arbitration awards in public education in New York State during 1971-74. It was found that awards favored the union position more often than the management view and that individual arbitrators often ruled consistantly for one party. Suggested causes, implications, and suggestions to improve matters are given for these phenomena.</Abstract>
