Abstract
The author describes bargaining between the faculty and administration at the University of Hawaii, including intrafaculty dissension. He concludes that the professoriat is still uncertain of its collective role in negotiations and that faculty members must unionize on an industrial rather than a guild model. This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works 3.0 United States License.
