Abstract

This article reports on a study of value systems in educational institutions al all levels. The author examined collective bargaining contracts to determine whether the faculty members were oriented toward professional or bureaucratic values and to what degree. Differences were found between contracts negotiated by the NEA and the AFT and at different educational levels.
