FACULTY WORK STOPPAGES IN POST-SECONDARY EDUCATION

Abstract

The authors of this article describe a study that investigated work stoppages in public and private institutions of higher education during the past decade. Analyzed were: type of institution, length of stoppage, reason for stoppage, faculty representation, geographical region in which stoppage took place, and the type of assistance, if any, used in resolving the dispute.
