						<Abstract Language="En">In this article the negotiated grievance procedure in collective bargaining agreements is conceived as a subsystem of the larger industrial relations system that is influenced by still larger supersystems. Systems concepts are employed by the author as explanatory devices to explain and analyze Supreme Court decisions in private and public sectors - affecting grievance subsystems. The major theme of the paper is the judicial concern for entropy in grievance-arbitration subsystems, and attempts by the courts to bring about negentropy by strengthening feedback mechanisms.</Abstract>
