						<Abstract Language="En">This article describes the advantages and disadvantages of open meetings for faculty collective bargaining at a Michigan university. The author concludes that negotiators lost excessive time by playing to the audience and that no real trust or rapport ever developed at the table, although some benefits did accrue to the faculty team from open bargaining.</Abstract>
