Estimation of Air Temperature Induced by a Heat Source in a Compartment with Displacement Ventilation

Abstract
A simple model is proposed to calculate the air temperature rise induced by a heat source in a compartment with displacement ventilation. The model is based on the mixing process in ventilation theory. Expressions for the hot air temperature are derived by considering the cases with and without a thermal plume region.
