						<Abstract Language="En">This speech presents the author's personal views on the future development of U.S. employment law. It emphasizes that today employees and employers are confronted by a maze of laws and overburdened institutions that were established to enforce same. Meanwhile, a veritable war is going on in the workplace over employee rights and the American dilemma of a racial underclass remains unresolved. The author suggests a need for new approaches to persistent problems including alternative dispute resolution and a just cause standard for all terminations.</Abstract>
