						<Abstract Language="En">There is often much confusion between the words &lt;i&gt;authority&lt;/i&gt; and &lt;i&gt;power&lt;/i&gt;. This article attempts to distinguish between them and focuses on the value of power over authority. Results of the extended use of authority are highlighted in the article, as well as ways of identifying and attaining various types of power. The article also discusses how power is lost and, in some cases, never regained, and the consequences that often follow lost power.</Abstract>
