Abnormalities of white matter fiber tracts in the transgenic mouse model of Alzheimer’s disease (Tg 2576) indicated by diffusion
tensor MRI (DTI). White matter fiber tractography of wild-type (WT) and transgenic (Tg) mice. Structural orientation of corpus callosum (arrows)
in WT can be readily observed (connecting the left and right hemispheres), whereas the fiber tracts were highly disoriented
in the diseased TG animal. Of note, white matter structural abnormaility was also observed from the DTI study of AD patients.
