      <abstract abstract-type="article" xml:lang="de">&lt;p&gt;Doxycyclin zählt zu den häufigsten Auslösern einer medikamentös-toxischen Oesophagitis. Die Liste weiterer medikamentöser Auslöser ist lang.
Die Beschwerden können innert Stunden bis Tage nach der Ersteinnahme auftreten. Das Risiko zur Entwicklung medikamentös-toxischer Oesophagitiden kann durch einfache Verhaltensregeln (ausreichende Trinkmenge während und nach der Tabletteneinnahme, Einnahme in aufrechter Körperposition circa 30 Minuten vor dem Zubettgehen) deutlich reduziert werden. Nach Absetzten des auslösenden Medikamentes und symptomatischer Therapie (Analgesie und Protonenpumpen-Hemmer) kommt es in den meisten Fällen zu einem komplikationslosen Abheilen.&lt;/p&gt;</abstract>
