      <abstract abstract-type="article" xml:lang="de">&lt;p&gt;Fallbericht einer durch Clostridium difficile-Infektion ausgelösten Rhambdomyolyse mit zusätzlicher Erhöhung von kardialen Biomarkern ohne klinisches Korrelat.
Die Rhabdomyolyse ist eine potenziell lebensbedrohliche Erkrankung, die durch verschiedene Faktoren ausgelöst werden kann. Eine Clostridium difficile-Infektion als Ursache einer Rhabdomyolyse wird in der Literatur bisher nur anekdotisch beschrieben.
Im Rahmen der Rhabdomyolyse kann es zur Erhöhung von sensitiven kardialen Biomarkern (z.B. Troponin T) kommen, ohne kardialischämisches Ereignis, weitere invasive Abklärungen sollten deshalb nur nach sorgfältigem Einbezug der Klinik und des Gesamtkontextes erwogen werden.
Zu den wichtigen Komplikationen der Rhabdomyolyse gehört unter anderem die akute Niereninsuffizienz, welche nicht vom Ausmass der CK-Erhöhung abhängt. Beim Management der Rhabdomyolyse herrscht lediglich Einigkeit bezüglich der Behebung von auslösenden Faktoren, einer frühen und aggressiven Volumensubstitution und schnellen Behandlung von Komplikationen (Elektrolytverschiebungen).&lt;/p&gt;</abstract>
