      <abstract abstract-type="article" xml:lang="de">&lt;p&gt;Das Hyperventilationssyndrom als eine Sonderform von St&amp;ouml;rungsbildern der Atemfunktionen gibt in seiner klinischen Pr&amp;auml;sentation, in der genauen Pathophysiologie der damit assoziierten Beschwerden und in der Therapie weiterhin R&amp;auml;tsel auf. Angesichts der oft nicht eindeutigen Pr&amp;auml;sentation der Beschwerden ist es wesentlich, &amp;uuml;berhaupt daran zu denken, dass eine dysfunktionale Atmung oder ein Hyperventilationssyndrom im engeren Sinn vorliegen k&amp;ouml;nnten. Neben einer fundierten Aufkl&amp;auml;rung &amp;uuml;ber die m&amp;ouml;glichen Ursachen der subjektiven Beschwerden sind vor allem Techniken etabliert, &amp;uuml;ber die die Atmung verlangsamt wird.&lt;/p&gt;</abstract>
