      <abstract abstract-type="article" xml:lang="de">&lt;p&gt;Ein Hypoparathyreoidismus ist eine m&amp;ouml;gliche Komplikation von Schilddr&amp;uuml;senoperationen, wenn die Durchblutung der Nebenschilddr&amp;uuml;sen perioperativ beeintr&amp;auml;chtigt wird oder Nebenschilddr&amp;uuml;sengewebe versehentlich entfernt wird. Die Wahrscheinlichkeit eines postoperativen Hypoparathyreoidismus nach Schilddr&amp;uuml;senoperationen h&amp;auml;ngt u.a. ab von der Erfahrung des Chirurgen und dem Ausmass der Schilddr&amp;uuml;sen- bzw. Lymphknotenresektion. Es werden transiente (Regredienz innerhalb von Tagen bis Monaten) als auch chronische Verl&amp;auml;ufe (Persistenz &amp;amp;gt;6 bis 12 Monate) beobachtet. Ein transienter postoperativer Hypoparathyreoidismus ist nach totaler Thyreoidektomie relativ h&amp;auml;ufig (10 bis 20%), ein persistierender Hypoparathyreoidismus bei sehr erfahrenen Chirurgen dagegen relativ selten&lt;/p&gt;</abstract>
