      <abstract abstract-type="article" xml:lang="de">&lt;p&gt;Le syndrome carcinoïde (SC) fait partie de l’ensemble des syndromes sécrétoires observés chez des patients atteints d’une tumeur neuroendocrine bien différenciée. Ce syndrome est provoqué par la libération de sérotonine par les cellules tumorales dans la circulation sanguine. Il peut associer un flush facial, des diarrhées, des symptômes respiratoires et des complications cardiaques. L’induction d’une anesthésie générale, l’utilisation de médicaments inotropes ou des procédures invasives peuvent induire une crise carcinoïde pouvant engager le pronostic vital. L’introduction d’analogue de la somatostatine permet une amélioration rapide des symptômes, raison pour laquelle ce diagnostic doit être évoqué et identifié.&lt;/p&gt;</abstract>
