      <abstract abstract-type="article" xml:lang="de">&lt;p&gt;Das Os tibiale externum gehört zu den akzessorischen Knochen des Skeletts und ist mit einer Häufigkeit von ca. 21 % der häufigste akzessorische Knochen des Fusses (3,4,5). Es werden 3 Typen unterschieden (3).

Trotz des relativ häufigen Vorkommens wurden Frakturen dieses Knochens bisher nur sehr selten beschrieben. Eine direkte mehrfragmentäre Fraktur dieses akzessorischen Knochens ist in der Literatur bisher nicht beschrieben worden, wohl auch dadurch bedingt, dass die zwei bisher veröffentlichten Fallberichte zur radiologischen Untersuchung nur das Nativ-Röntgen einsetzten. In unserem Report zeigen wir anhand des Falls einer Patientin neben einer direkten Fraktur es Os tibiale externum auch eine partielle posttraumatische Resorption desselben. Unter konservativem Therapieregime konnten wir bei unserer Patientin eine vollständige Beschwerdefreiheit und uneingeschränkte Funktion des Fusses erlangen.&lt;/p&gt;</abstract>
