      <abstract abstract-type="article" xml:lang="de">
        <p>Eine 37 jährige Patientin stellt sich mit persistierendem Hypertonus vor. Die Abklärungen zeigen eine sekundäre Ursache der arteriellen Hypertonie bei einseitiger fibromuskulärer Dysplasie (FMD) der A. renalis und linksseitiger Schrumpfniere. Sowohl die medikamentöse Therapie als auch wiederholte Stent-Implantationen zeigen keinen langzeitigen Benefit. Die einseitige Nephrektomie bei funktionsloser linker Niere zeigt sich schlussendlich kurativ. Die Patientin ist postoperativ normotensiv ohne Medikation bis dato.</p>
