        <p>Die akute Appendizitis ist einer der häufigsten Gründe für ein akutes Abdomen. In seltenen Fällen können auch gastrointestinale Erkrankungen, insbesondere Zökumkarzinome, die Entstehung einer akuten Appendizitis verursachen. Die nekrotisierende Fasziitis stellt eine sehr seltene, aber fatale Komplikation einer akuten Appendizitis dar und kann bei verspäteter Diagnosestellung zu einem dramatischen, of letalen Verlauf führen.
In unserem Fallbeispiel berichten wir den Fall einer Patienten welche sich mit unspezifischen abdominalen Beschwerden vorstellte, begleitet von einer progredienten Schwellung des linken Beines. Im Verlauf zeigte sich eine nekrotisierende Fasziitis des linken Unterschenkels ausgelöst durch Clostridium septicum. Ursache für die nekrotisierende Fasziitis, war ein neu diagnostiziertes Adenokarzinom des Ileozökalbereiches, welches wiederum zu einer perforierten Appendizitis führte. In dem folgenden Bericht, zeigen wir unser chirurgisches Vorgehens, sowie das therapeutisches Outcome auf.</p>
