In den letzten 10 Jahren wurde wissenschaftlich bewiesen, dass die akute Revaskularisation beim ischämischen Hirnschlag zu den effizientesten Behandlungen in der Akutmedizin gehört, wenn strikte Kriterien angewendet werden. Um das grösstmögliche Nutzen-Risiko-Verhältnis für betroffene Patientinnen und Patienten zu erwirken, hat die Schweizerische Hirnschlag Gesellschaft (SHG) mit ihren Partnergesellschaften die entsprechende Guideline unter Berücksichtigung der neuen wissenschaftlichen Daten überarbeitet.
