        <p>Die COVID-19 Pandemie hat weitreichende medizinische und wirtschaftliche Folgen und kann auch indirekt zu Morbidität führen. In diesem Fallbericht führten die aufgrund von COVID-19 empfohlenen Hygiene- und Verhaltensvorschriften zu einer Meningoenzephalitis durch  Capnocytophaga canimorsus  und zu einer akuten Herzinsuffizienz im Sinne eines Tako-Tsubo Syndroms.  Capnocytophaga canimorsus  ist ein Bakterium der normalen oralen Hundeflora. Da es langsam wachsend ist, werden die Blutkulturen häufig erst spät positiv. Eine mögliche Präsentationsform ist die Meningoenzephalitis, welche potentiell letal ist und mit Ceftriaxon behandelt wird. Das Tako-Tsubo-Syndrom ist eine Form der (oft) reversiblen Kardiomyopathie, welcher häufig ein starkes emotionales Ereignis vorausgeht. Eine Behandlung findet mit einer medikamentösen Herzinsuffizienztherapie statt.</p>
