Die Einlage oder das Entfernen einer mikroaxialen Herzpumpe (in diesem Fall: Impella-CP®) können zu einer Beieinträchtigung der atrioventrikulären Leitungsbahnen führen. Wegen der subendokardialen Lage der linksseitigen Bahnen können Linksschenkelblockbilder entstehen. Bei vorbestehendem Rechtsschenkelblock kann aber ein totaler AV-Block mit entsprechend ungünstiger Hämodynamik resultieren.
