      <abstract abstract-type="article" xml:lang="de">
        <p>De nos jours, plusieurs possibilités existent pour remplacer la fonction rénale défaillante (hémodialyse, dialyse péritonéale, transplantation rénale). La dialyse péritonéale est une méthode d’épuration extra-rénale répandue car elle permet de maintenir un certain niveau d’autonomie pour le patient. Cette méthode nécessite toutefois un suivi régulier et rapproché des patients étant donné que les complications sur cathéter sont une réalité qui augmente significativement la morbidité des patient et peut générer le retrait du cathéter. La péritonite de dialyse est la plus grave des complications liées à la dialyse péritonéale. En connaître les critères diagnostiques et les principes de prise charge thérapeutique est donc critique pour prendre en charge correctement ces malades. Nous présentons ici un cas rare de péritonite de dialyse à Mycobacterium fortuitum et à cette occasion sera présentée la démarche diagnostique et thérapeutique face à cette infection.</p>
