        <p>-       Einheimische Schlangenbisse sind seltene, aber potentiell lebensbedrohliche Unfälle, eine rasche Kontaktaufnahme mit Tox Info Suisse ist essentiell zur Risikostratifizierung, präklinischen Triagierung sowie Information bzgl. Antivenin-Verfügbarkeit und Indikationen nach einheimischen Giftschlangenbissen.
-       Bei schweren Grad II und Grad III Reaktionen (Tabelle 2) ist eine Behandlung mit Antivenin indiziert. Trotz besserem Nebenwirkungsprofil der F(ab)2-Antivenine muss der Patient nach Verabreichung bezüglich anaphylaktischer Reaktion überwacht und therapiert werden können.
-       Chirurgische Massnahmen (z.B. Fasziotomie) sind nur bei gemessenem erhöhtem intrakompartmentalem Druck trotz wiederholter Antiveningabe indiziert.</p>
