Neben Skoliose, Thoraxdeformitäten und acetabulären Protrusionen stellen Gelenkhypermobilitäten durch ligamentäre Laxizitäten einen wichtigen Manifestationspunkt des Marfansyndrom dar. Schwere Instabilitäten gelten beim oberen Sprunggelenk (OSG) als Kontraindikation für die Implantation einer Prothese. Im Gegensatz zum Kniegelenk beispielsweise stehen dem Orthopäden für das obere Sprunggelenk keine geführten Prothesen zur Verfügung, welche die Stabilisation des Gelenkes übernehmen könnten. Im Folgenden wird die erfolgreiche Implantation einer Sprunggelenksprothese bei einem Patienten mit einem Marfansyndrom beschrieben.
