      <abstract abstract-type="article" xml:lang="de">
        <p>Beim häufigsten bösartigen Tumor des Mannes, dem Prostatakarzinom, konnten in den letzten Jahren grosse Fortschritte im Bereich der molekularpathologischen Charakterisierung erzielt werden. Diese Erkenntnisse haben entscheidend zur Entwicklung von zielgerichteten Therapien in der fortgeschrittenen Situation des Prostatakarzinoms beigetragen. Die molekularpathologischen Ergebnisse geben zudem wichtige Hinweise auf eine mögliche genetische Prädisposition.</p>
