      <abstract abstract-type="article" xml:lang="de">
        <p>Im Rahmen der Covid-19 Pandemie, wurde bisher in der Hirslanden Klinik St. Anna bei jedem notfallmässigen und elektiven Eintritt ein Eintrittsscreening mit einem SARS-CoV-2 Rapid Antigen Test durchgeführt. Im Mai 2021 trat eine 23-jährige Patientin elektiv zur Kniearthroskopie ein. Bei dieser asymptomatischen Patientin ohne Anamnese für eine COVID-Exposition in den vergangenen 7 Tage vor Hospitalisation fiel der Antigentest positiv aus. Beim Antigenschnelltest  handelt sich um einen Lateral-Flow-Test zur Detektierung des Nucleocapsidprotein von SARS-CoV-2. Falsch positive SARS-CoV-2 Antigen Testresultate sind bekannt, die Ursachen mannigfaltig. Zum Beispiel kann der niedrige pH von kohlesäurehaltigen Getränken die Antikörperproteine auf dem Teststreifen zersetzen und die Farbreaktion auslösen. Andere bekannte Einflussfaktoren sind säurehaltige Erkältungssprays und Erythrozyten.  Zudem sinkt der PPV bei sinkender lokaler Prävalenz einer Erkrankung, so dass der Anteil an falsch positiven Testresultate, insbesondere bei asymptomatischen Personen steigt. Ein Testresultat sollte daher immer kritisch im Kontext des getesteten Individuums betrachtet werden, da jedes Resultat Konsequenzen nach sich zieht, welche zu Ressourcenbelastung, Kosten und auf individueller Ebene der Patientin zu physischen und auch psychischen Belastungen führen kann.</p>
