        <p>Von allen Betroffenen mit Mammakarzinom sind 1% Männer. Ein 73-jähriger Patient wurde konsiliarisch aus der Inneren Medizin mit einem exophytisch Tumor der rechten Thoraxwand zugewiesen. Stanzbioptisch ergab sich der Nachweis eines Mammakarzinoms. Aufgrund einer Herzinsuffizenz und des schlechten Allgemeinzustandes des Patienten erfolgte im interdisziplinären Tumorboard der Entscheid zur primären Operation.  

Auch bei Männern muss bei Veränderungen im Bereich der Mammae an ein Mammakarzinom gedacht werden. Die weitere Diagnostik, Therapie und die Prognose hängt wie beim Mammakarzinom der Frau vom Subtyp des Karzinoms ab. Auch weitere Faktoren wie Komorbiditäten und Nebendiagnosen müssen in die Behandlungsempfehlung miteinbezogen werden.</p>
