      <abstract abstract-type="article" xml:lang="de">
        <p>Das 2011 gestartete Neugeborenenscreening für Cystische Fibrose (CF-NGS) ist mittlerweile in der Schweiz gut etabliert und in der CF-Versorgung nicht mehr wegzudenken. In den ersten 10 Jahren wurden bei 244 Kindern frühzeitig eine CF-Diagnose gestellt und durchschnittlich nach 16 Tagen in einem CF-Zentrum gesehen. Zehn Kinder mit CF (4%) wurden im Screening verpasst und später aufgrund von Symptomen diagnostiziert. Bei 29 Kinder konnte keine eindeutige Diagnose gestellt werden. Die kontinuierliche Evaluation während der ersten 10 Jahre hat es ermöglicht, das Programm laufend zu verbessern und den Algorithmus anzu­passen. Insgesamt gilt das Schweizer CF-NGS mit seiner detaillierten unabhängigen Evaluation als gutes Beispiel für ein effizientes und wissenschaftlich begleitetes Screening-Programm in Europa. Entscheidend für den Erfolg war die sorgfältige Datenerhebung und enge Zusammenarbeit aller beteiligter Institutionen.</p>
