        <p>La thrombophlébite septique de la veine porte est une entité rare mais qui peut être mortelle. Sa présentation clinique demeure fruste, avec des douleurs abdominales vagues et peu de symptômes spécifiques, conduisant à un diagnostic souvent retardé. La prise en charge initiale repose sur l’instauration rapide d’un traitement antibiotique ainsi que la recherche d’un foyer infectieux primaire, classiquement une appendicite ou une diverticulite, qui doit également être pris en charge en urgence. La complication aiguë redoutée est l’ischémie veineuse mésentérique et la nécrose intestinale, tandis que des abcès hépatiques peuvent apparaitre plus tardivement.</p>
