La sciatique extra-rachidienne est un diagnostic rare, &agrave; &eacute;voquer devant toute sciatique sans origine intra-rachidienne claire &agrave; l&#39;imagerie. L&rsquo;anamn&egrave;se et l&rsquo;examen clinique doivent &eacute;valuer toute la longueur du nerf afin de mieux cibler les investigations compl&eacute;mentaires. Les &eacute;tiologies de la sciatique extra-rachidienne sont multiples et vari&eacute;s et leur mise en &eacute;vidence peut &ecirc;tre un &eacute;norme d&eacute;fi vu que leur origine peut se trouver n&rsquo;importe o&ugrave; sur le trajet du nerf sciatique. N&eacute;anmoins, on peut citer les pathologies gyn&eacute;cologiques et le syndrome du muscle pyramidal comme origines les plus fr&eacute;quentes et l&#39;IRM du bassin ainsi que l&#39;ENMG sont les examens para-cliniques les plus utiles.</p>
