The objective to review literature into a paper is to demonstrate conceptualization of the contribution of cultural heritage on the development and usage of organizational culture. Cultural heritage assists individual person within an organization to form a behaviors and attitudes. Culture largely transfers the learned values which form a group behavior that can, to a large extent be part of the organizational history and practiced from one individual to another over time. Cultural heritage contributes greatly to the organizational culture and this differentiates an organization from another. The literature reviewed synthesized relevant literature on the contribution of cultural heritage on organizational culture and performance. The paper reviewed literature from published journals, independent papers and other published materials. The analysis of literature found out that the organizations that have deep culture has a strong performance culture through borrowed and learned values. The empirical evidence further shows that lack of cultural integration among members of an organization is a primary cause of corporate group failure. This review recommends research or more review in this area to understand the nature and ability of the culture in influencing organizational performance. The management and leaders are recommended to develop a strong organizational culture in order to improve the overall performance of the employees and organizations.
