<public-note>Yabuuchi et al. 1999 transferred the Blastomonas natatoria and Erythromonas ursincola to the genus Sphingomonas, unifying Erythromonas and Sphingomonas, but leaving the type species of Blastomonas (B. henrichii, which lacks a viable type strain) as the sole remaining member of its genus. Hiraishi et al. 2000 essentially reversed these changes by transferring E. ursinicola to Blastomonas as B. ursinicola, and emended the description of B. natatoria.</public-note>
