      <public-note>In the original publication, Thermothrix azorensis is placed within the Betaproteobacteria. However, the published 16S sequence places this genus in the Aquificales. No data exists for the original sequence. It appears that the source organism for the sequence may not be the same as that described in the taxonomic proposal.</public-note>
