However, according to the rules of priority, Salmonella enterica bongori (Le Minor et al. 1985) Le Minor and Popoff 1987 should be the preferred name. There was no indication of conservation of the epithet bongori, so I believe there should be a clarification of this in the literature.</curatorial-note>
