<public-note>Altamia et al. 2019 states, "The name Thiosocius teredinicola is effectively published. Due to constraints imposed by the Philippine Department of Agriculture-Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (DA-BFAR), the authors have only been able to obtain permission to submit the type strain of the proposed species to a single biorepository, therefore valid publication of this name is not possible at this time." However, this name satisfies the requirements of effective and valid publication but contravenes Rules 27(3) and 30 of the Code and is therefore Validly Published but illegitimate until a culture deposit in a second country is established.</public-note>
