Dumler et al. describe Anaplasma bovis as a new combination with "Ehrlichia bovis" as the basonym. "Ehrlichia bovis" has no standing in nomenclature and Anaplasma bovis was corrected to sp. nov. instead of comb. nov. on the Notification List for volume 51 part 6.
